After much waiting, the most anticipated mixtape project of all time in the Arewa music hip-hop scene is finally out.


Ricqy Ultra drops this 18 track project titled "Welcome To Zoo road" which will surely be a project that will remain in the history books and archives of any real hip-hop fan.


Ricqy Ultra is a unique breed that is almost incomparable to any artist as far as hip-hop in Nigeria is concerned and he know how to keep it smart and simple. "Welcome To Zoo Road" is a mixtape that is strictly for those who have lost hope in the underground game for so long. Ricqy Ultra is well aware of those who need something fresh and he took his time to make it come to fruition.

With 18 solid songs on the playlist, the album contains different blend of genres and styles that shows how versatile Ricqy Ultra is. From the poetic side of Ricqy Ultra, to the sexy part of his life, to the emotional and compassionate side, to real life events, to the hardcore world and finally to the realm of reality, the project "welcome to zoo road" is a complete package.

 The project listening time runs for 54 minutes 09 seconds. This is a reasonable time for a mixtape of such intensity. The mixtape will be a project that will remain in the hearts of most underground rap/hip-hop listeners.

 Ricqy Ultra has dropped 3 mixtapes previously which include Hate It or Love It (Vol.I), Hate It or Love It (Vol.II) & Simply Ultralistic (Vol.III). All mixtapes are still available for download.

RICQY ULTRA IS ONE OF THE FEW EMCEES IN KANO CITY WHO ARE STICKING THEIR GUNS TO THE REAL HIP-HOP CULTURE. AFTER CHURNING AND DROPPING SINGLES, MIXTAPES AND VIDEOS PORTRAYING THE VIBRANT HIP-HOP CULTURE IN NORTHERN NIGERIA, HE UNLEASHES THIS BRAND NEW JOINT TITLED "TSAYA KAJI" . "Tsaya Kaji" is a Hausa word which means "Just Listen" is a strong hip-hop sound that has a deep energy. The song is a conscious rap song which resonates elements like boldness, courage, envy, hate, pain and authority. The lyrical delivery from verses laid in the song tells a lot of story. Verse 1 of the song tells a story about how the patient ones are being taken for granted and treated like slaves, how you can hardly trust friends and  everyone around you is so unpredictable. Kano City is now an official hub for so many artistes these days. Few months ago, Kano city was graced by the coming of artistes such as B-Meri, Vector, Wande Coal, Dija, Oritshe Femi, Joe El among others.
