  Award winning and Grammy recognized Kisumu based musician Gabiro Mtu Necessary has joined the list of Kenyan artists with over 1 million streams on Boomplay this week and he is set to be the first Kisumu based musician to hit this milestone. Gabiro is one of the three Kenyan and East African musicians who got considered for the 64 th  Grammy awards with his project JENESIS EP being considered under the Best Global Music album category alongside Victoria Kimani. Starting out as a traditional band member back in 2013, Gabiro Mtu Necessary drew his earliest inspirations from the likes of Octopizzo, Lucky Dube, Khuli Chana, Juliani and a host of others.   Ricqy Ultra finally releases the visuals to his much anticipated song titled Letter of Rapology . Letter of Rapology is the first track off his sophomore album titled Expect The Unexpected. The song was produced by KefaZz Simple Touch while the visuals was directed by Mr DMej. Letter of Rapology is a complete hip-hop song that narrates the bitter-sweet love story of Ricqy Ultra in the hip-hop industry (specifically in the north). As he narrates his personal experiences, he scribbled down his story into a letter seeking for counsel from Hip-hop on how to overcome the daily issues, torture and blame that hip-hop has been receiving over the years. As contained in his lyrics, Ricqy Ultra is rapologizing for all that has been happening around the hip-hop industry and as such, he hopes that he wont get into trouble for taking sides with hip-hop. The song Casket is a hybridization of poetry and rap in it's unique form, consummated from the psychic memory of Ricqy Ultra . It tells an eventful story of a soul being in the realm of two separate worlds leading to a dilemmic tragedy. Asking for forgiveness seems to be the only option left after a catastrophic accident that leads to an untimely demise of the soul. The animation concept was conceived nonetheless by upcoming director Habib Alim. Casket was produced by KefaZz Simple Touch.

With Nigeria celebrating 60 years of her independence anniversary, Ricqy Ultra looks at the country's progress post-independence in this song titled " National Crisis ". National Crisis could be a debatable caption for this song but one has to listen to it critically and analyse every single statement to understand what Ricqy Ultra is talking about. Highlighting the pending issues facing the country, he still stands patriotic to the nation's cause as indicated in the first four lines of the song. It goes.... "I pledge to Nigeria my country/To be faithful, loyal & honest/But I see nobody being honest/Everybody looting our natural resources." National Crisis is open for debate and criticism but the fact remains that Nigeria has a lot of work to do for its citizens, most especially from the government.
