MIXTER BASH (@mixter_bash) X RICQY ULTRA (@ricqyultra) - KARO DA KARO

AFTER DROPPING MIXTAPES EACH IN THE YEAR 2016, THESE EMCEES TEEM UP TO DROP SOMETHING UNUSUAL TITLED "KARO DA KARO".

MIXTER BASH has been consistent in the Arewa hip-hop scene as his mixtape RED BLUE WHITE has been making wave with positive reviews dropped on the project. Karo Da Karo nonetheless, is a deep hip-hop track with a Grime infusion which makes it a typical hybrid song.

RICQY ULTRA on the other hand is a thoroughbred who has his own unique way of blending into any song genre and his commanding tone in the hook of this grimy song,KARO DA KARo, is simply exceptional. He also released his mixtape titled SIMPLY ULTRALISTIC which is also gaining massive acceptance.

KARO DA KARO is a proverbial phrase in Hausa word which means when two elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. In another direct translation, it could mean that only two rams can go head-to-head in a battle while a goat sits back and watch. What a unique proverb.

Listen to the rich lyrical contents displayed by these two hausa Hip-hop heads and tag along. The song was produced by MIXTER BASH, Mixed by Pastor Dan and Mastered by NexceZz Beatz.

ARTICLE:RADIO STATIONS PROMOTING UPCOMING HIPHOP ARTISTES (HOME GROWN ARTISTES)?

The simplest medium of communication in Nigeria is the RADIO. This special Device has such powers that you will be amazed at how rural areas, most especially villages are conversant with latest news, songs and trends. It is now a lot easier due to the presence of radio application on mobile devices. One can acquire a mobile phone for as little as #2000 with a radio app on it. The environment one finds him/herself will determine how one will be able to grow and adapt to it. We all are conversant with this proverb “if you are in Rome, behave like the Romans”. It will be so strange for a northerner to go to the eastern part of Nigeria and see his culture represented/aired on the radio 24/7. Such can be said for a Yoruba person going to the north and listening to the radio playing Yoruba music? We all know that music has no boundary. YES! It is one aspect that lots of radio stations have tried to tackle due to Nigeria’s diverse cultural heritage. They are now successful in over...
