had the opportunity of witnessing first-hand the second edition of VIBE ZONE tagged "CLASH OF THE TITANS RELOADED" which
was hosted by Rahma FM's Radio Personality, Dr Pure. Vibe Zone is a program which has been on the
radio's program schedule for almost 5 years. It has grown to be one of the most
listened radio programs by lovers of indigenous Hip-hop Music. 95% of all songs
played in the 1 hour program are Kano-Based artistes. It has grown so popular
that most Kano residents never fail to tune in to the station every Tuesday's
by 6pm for a dose of the program. The program has interviewed over 200 artistes
and it is still counting. This prompted listeners to ask how they can get to
see/meet most of these rising talents. The presenter Dr Pure therefore found it
imperative to organize this event to build a closer relationship between both
parties. He later named it "THE VIBE ZONE FAMILY" because according
to him, the listeners are no longer his fns but his family for sticking to his
program over the years.
HAUSA HIPHOP BLOG crew arrived at the scene of the event
quite early. We were amazed to see a huge
crowd waiting to purchase there tickets for the show. HAUSA HIPHOP Crew took
the opportunity to interview some notable artistes and fans. Below are the
excerpts of the interview.
HHH: Can you kindly introduce yourself?
EDDY:My name is Eddy Kool a.k.a The Young Aboki Boy
representing MOBE for real.
HHH: What brought you to this special event?
EDDY:Actually, I'm really looking forward to having a nice
performance today. As you know, it is
a Vibe Zone family program. So I really gotta represent.
HHH: What should your fans be expecting from you?
EDDY:Goodies. A lot of goodies, full package.

themselves because this is sallah. We need to enjoy ourselves.

AISHA: I came to watch the hip-hop artistes i have been
hearing on the Vibe Zone.
HHH: Can you mention some of them?
AISHA: Yea. I would love to watch Nomiis Gee, Dr Pure, Billy
O, Double Trouble and others.
HHH: What can you say about the Vibe Zone program?
AISHA: I would say Dr Pure should keep it up.

Thank you. My name is Meenah.
HHH: Wow. What a unique name. What brought you to this
special event?
MEENA: I came to catch some fun and to watch Sonicman, Ricqy
Ultra, Dr Pure and Daddy Fresh.
HHH: Interesting. What do you have to say about Vibe Zone as
a program?
MEENA: It is one of my best programs on radio. I don't miss
it. I want the presenter to keep it up. Allah
will bless him abundantly with good health.

HHH: You happen to be the organizer of this event. So tell
us, how do you expect this particular show to come out at the end of the day?
DR PURE: Well you know what? I would not say that i am the
organizer. I am only the landlord. The landlord of the “Vibe Zone Family House”.
YES!!! I expect it to be a huge SUCCESS.
HHH: OK. So what are your expectations?
DR PURE: Well, you know what? My fans are not just my fans.
They are my family. You know what I'm saying. What my family should expect from
me is what they expect when they always tune in to Rahma Radio 97.3 FM at 6pm
every Tuesday.
HHH:Your anticipations. Do you see it superseding the maiden
edition?
DR PURE: Seeing is believing. This episode is going to be
much better than the previous one. The Vibe Zone Family would have the
opportunity to sit down, watch, listen and learn unlike the radio version where they only listen.

TITANS RELOADED by VIBE ZONE?
Sonicman: What brought me to this vibe zone clash of the
titans reloaded you know, it is a sallah show and we are here to be happy. We are
all here to show our fans what we have for them.
HHH: What do you expect your fans to expect from you?
Sonicman: Yea, we want them to expect something vibrating.
Something delicious you know. Apart from this, they are coming over to witness
something great.
